Flowers And Smoke

we woke up to a beautiful autumn day and i spent some time in the garden/bush. first taking pictures of flowers…

and here you can play match-the-close-up-to-the-flower…

after the flower photography i started to play with fire (a very small fire!)…

since i felt quite uncomfortable this last summer with all the hot wind and bushfire, i decided to get rid of some of the dead leaves and undergrowth. i think some of it must have been a bit damp – there was a lot of smoke…

and then i got really fascinated with photographing the smoke 😉

in the end i decided that there must be an easier and less polluting way to get rid of the windfall…  like taking it to the tip!

but since a lot of native australian plants actually need fire or smoked water to germinate i hope that we will get some nice wildflowers out of this short fire exercise this spring.
