Greetings from Bali!
Hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the many benefits of our pure essential oils. We’ve been here in Bali for the last couple of weeks enjoying the warm weather and spending lots of time with our Balinese friends – including the ladies of our women’s co-op who sew the beautiful bags for the essential oils. We went on a trip to a traditional market in a town in East Bali where all the ikat fabrics are sold to source new fabrics. I also bought lots more of the vintage patchwork fabrics which the ladies are just now turning into the 16-bottle bags:
We are hoping to increase the bag production to the point where we can sell them to you online. Stay tuned….
Last month around 30,000 doTerra enthusiasts came together in Utah for the annual global convention to learn about new products and new partnerships in humanitarian causes and the latest scientific research. I always get really excited about the science behind the oils. And one presentation that I loved was by Nicole Parish, an assistant professor in pathology at JHU Medical School. She talked about her mum who is 81 and used to get seriously ill every winter until one year recently when she stayed well throughout the winter. When Nicole got curious her mum told her about the amazing oils she was taking. And that’s how Nicole discovered doTerra and got involved in a research project testing 100 of our oils and their activity against multi drug-resistant bacteria: 3 oils have significant activity and an additional 17 oils have good activity. Nicole and her research partners published a paper in a medical journal entitled: “Essential Oils and Future Antibiotics: New Weapons against Emerging ‘Superbugs’?” Isn’t that exciting?
And here are the new products from convention:
Last month I said that we would continue looking at my daily routine and how to use doTerra products for healthy sleep and a good evening routines for the whole family:
> Lavender essential oil: has a calming and relaxing effect. Add to your diffuser – either on its own or together with any of your favourite oils. Sandalwood, Geranium, Clary Sage and Vetiver are beautiful companions for Lavender. You can also rub a drop or two of Lavender on the bottom of your big toes for a good nights sleep. Or add a couple of drops to the bathtub or a foot bath.
> Serenity or LavenderPeace as its called here in Oz is another wonderful essential oil blend which like the Lavender is suitable for the whole family:
One of the new products from last month’s convention is the Serenity Restful Complex:
And last but not least, I would like to recommend the Lifelong Vitality Pack. I can’t stress enough how important this product is for anyone who is serious about improving their general wellbeing. Not only does it support healthy cellular functions and the immune system, increase vitality and energy levels it also improves sleep. Since I have been taking the Lifelong Vitaly supplements I sleep more deeply, need less sleep and wake up more refreshed then before.
Please contact me if you need help ordering the Serenity Restful Complex or the Lifelong Vitality Pack – both products are at the moment only available from the US warehouse.
And please contact me if you would like to introduce your friends and family to these beautiful pure essential oils and their many health benefits. I offer introduction classes for small groups (4-6 people) at my house or you can host one at your place. The classes are relaxed and informative and the host receives a special gift.
With lots of warm greetings from Bali, Nicole xo
